Picture Day
Picture day is back and better than ever! After a fantastic return last year, we're excited to continue the tradition of capturing our talented dancers in their dazzling Recital costumes. This exciting event gives everyone the chance to preserve their class memories with both group photos and striking individual shots. These photos will feature your dancer in their recital costumes that were ordered in December. We will begin handing out costumes prior to picture day dates in May, so everyone will be ready for their close-up!
Please note: There will be no regular classes held at a location on the day that picture day is scheduled. This allows us to dedicate the space and time to capturing these special moments.
Whether you prefer group photos or striking individual shots, we’ve got you covered. And here’s the best part: you can conveniently purchase these delightful dance memories during the recital dress rehearsal—a true one-stop shop! Please arrive 5 minutes early to your scheduled time slot to ensure you are ready for your group photo. We run on a strict schedule, and we will not be able to take another group photo if you miss your assigned time. Individual photos can be taken throughout the day if your dancer cannot attend their group slot. Dancers must arrive in full costume with hair and makeup done with the correct color tights and shoes. All dancers will need CAPEZIO ULTRASOFT tights (the colors vary, so please check the list for your class). Everyone must wear tights with their costume. *Dancers may not wear any jewelry, nail polish, or undies(the tights have a lining in them, and undies stick out on the side of the leotard, so this will prevent that)
Hair must be pulled back into a bun with a part over the left eye.View the attachment and video below for instructions and details. Remember, practice makes perfect! Practice on your dancer when you can as this will also be the required hairstyle for Recital/Dress Rehearsal. The bright stage and camera lights can often wash out natural skin tones. To help features stand out under the lights, we suggest applying at least blush or bronzer, mascara, and lipstick in shades that complement your dancer's complexion. This is just a helpful suggestion, not a requirement.
